Elizabeth Mildwater appointed as Secretary Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade
NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet Secretary Michael Coutts-Trotter has today announced Elizabeth Mildwater has been appointed to the permanent role of Secretary Department Enterprise, Investment and Trade (DEIT), commencing 24 October 2022.
Ms Mildwater has been acting as DEIT Secretary since September.
Prior to the appointment she was CEO of the Greater Cities Commission and has previously held various positions at Transport for NSW at the Deputy Secretary level.
Before joining the NSW Government, Ms Mildwater had a distinguished private sector career in both for-purpose and for-profit organisations.
Mr Coutts Trotter said Ms Mildwater would lead the department’s work to drive trade and foster economic development.
“Elizabeth brings proven leadership and management capability to the department and is well versed in much of its work from her previous roles in government,” Mr Coutts-Trotter said.
Ms Mildwater underwent a merit-based selection process in 2021 in which she was assessed as suitable for the role of Secretary.
