Awards for community service
The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is responsible for coordinating, or has significant involvement in, awards which recognise service to the community.
NSW Government State Representative Award
The NSW Government State Representative Award recognises people who have represented NSW in a competitive field.
Nominees of any age, who have represented NSW in a competitive field (eg. sport, music, the arts or academic), either nationally or internationally, may be nominated for the Award. Nominations are made through your local Member of Parliament.
NSW Government Community Service Award
The NSW Government Community Service Award recognises individuals in NSW who have substantially helped to improve the quality of life of members of their community. This is beyond what would reasonably be expected in their usual occupation.
Nominations for this award are for community work performed mostly within the electorate of the nominating NSW State Member of Parliament. Each Member of Parliament is entitled to present two NSW Government Community Service Awards a year.
If you have any questions about nominating for the above awards, contact Protocol and Community Engagement on (02) 9228 5188 or email [email protected]
