Aboriginal People
Principles
The NSW Government encourages recognition, respect and understanding of the unique position of Aboriginal people in society. Through all its agencies, the Government is committed to the improvement of social, economic and cultural outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Key elements of this commitment include the involvement of local Aboriginal leadership in local decision-making and the coordination of agencies for a whole of government approach to the service of Aboriginal customers.
Aboriginal people, the NSW Government and government agencies are jointly responsible and work together to plan and deliver solutions that meet community needs.
