The NSW Government is committed to the fair and transparent management of its employees who become excess as a result of organisational change.

The Managing Excess Employees (D2011_007) sets out the arrangements for all public sector agencies and employees.

Agencies are responsible for managing excess employees including:

  • registering agency case managers with Public Sector Workforce
  • registering agency case managers and excess employees with e-Recruitment
  • providing required information about excess employees
  • matching excess employees to suitable vacancies for priority assessment before advertising occurs.
