Leaving Public Sector Employment
There are a number of reasons why you might leave public service employment:
- You may resign
- You may choose to accept voluntary redundancy
- You may be released due to a breach of discipline
- Your appointment may be annulled due to your probation report
- You may retire due to an inability to perform your duties
- You may be dismissed because of Australian residency requirements
- You may be released because you are an excess officer
- You may be released if you refuse to transfer to another position without a valid reason
- Your services may be dispensed with by right of the Crown
- You may be a temporary employee
- Death of an officer
