2009 Premier's Public Sector Awards
Showcasing Excellence in NSW
The Premiers Public Sector Awards formally recognise and reward outstanding performance and achievement by the New South Wales public sector.
Nominations reflected the work of small and large organisations and individuals and teams. All NSW public sector agencies and services were eligible to apply; departments, authorities, government trading enterprises, commissions, boards and state owned corporations.
New categories were developed for 2009:
- Leading Change
- Delivering Services
- Engaging with the Community
- Project Delivery Making it Happen
- Succeeding Through Innovation
- Premiers Priority Category Ensuring Jobs in NSW
- Premiers Award for Individual Excellence.
The thirteenth annual Premier's Public Sector Awards were presented on Thursday, 26 November 2009 by the Honourable Nathan Rees MP, Premier of New South Wales, at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Over one hundred and sixty nominations were received from agencies across New South Wales.
Twenty nine awards covering three levels of achievement - winner, runner up, and commendation - were presented to nominations of excellence.
