2003 Premier's Public Sector Awards
Premier's Message
A life of public service, John F. Kennedy believed, is one of the noblest aspirations of humankind.
When these Public Sector Awards come round I'm reminded of this, and gratified it's that time of year again. Our public service is as good as any in the world. It enjoys the highest accolade a government sector can have, the people's trust. There are 96 nominations this year from a workplace alive with innovation and enriching, stimulating partnerships with local communities across the State.
All the present nominees are worthy of special praise, and they stir us to emulation. I warmly congratulate the skilled public servants whose honourable, patient professionalism has made these Awards not only possible, but so widely esteemed.
A summary of each nomination is available in the booklet 2003 Award Nominations (1.5 MB)
