Equal Employment Opportunity
Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) is about:
- making sure that workplaces are free from all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment, and
- providing programs that assist members of EEO groups in employment.
All NSW Government departments, agencies and their employees have a responsibility to implement and uphold Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
EEO groups are people affected by past or continuing disadvantage or discrimination in employment. These groups are:
- women
- Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders
- members of racial, ethnic, and ethno-religious minority groups
- people with a disability
Please visit the Equal Employment Opportunity website for more detailed information about EEO groups and programs in the NSW public sector.
