Employees in the NSW public sector have varied leave provisions according to the legislation and industrial award or agreement that applies to the type of job and employing agency.

Non-Public Service Groups

Employees should contact their agency’s Human Resource area for information about leave provisions.

Public Service Groups

The Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Award 2009 includes the following provisions:

  • Attendance/Hours of Work: cl 17
  • Leave: cls 67-84
  • Training and Professional Development:  cls 85 - 86
  • Union Consultation, Access and Activities: cls 53 – 62,  64 - 66
