the organising committee
The memorial is being organised by the Australian and Korean War Memorial Committee.
The Committee includes representatives from the following NSW Government agencies, community and veteran groups:
- The Australian and Korean War Veterans Shrine/Monument Association
- The Monument of Participation in The Korean War (1950-1953) Inc.
- The Consulate of the Republic of Korea
- The Returned and Services League of Australia (NSW Branch)
- The Department of Premier and Cabinet
- The Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust
Mr Peter Mould, NSW Government Architect is the professional adviser to the committee.
Project management is provided by the NSW Government Architect’s Office, Department of Commerce.
The Project Control Group
A Project Control Group has also been formed to manage the project delivery and make recommendations and referrals to the larger Australian and Korean War Memorial Committee.
The PCG members have been nominated to represent the interests of key stakeholders on the project and include:
- Mr N.Y Paik, The Monument of Participation in The Korean War (1950-1953) Inc.
- Mr Harry Spicer, The Australian and Korean War Veterans Shrine/Monument Association
- Mr Don Rowe, The Returned and Services League of Australia NSW Branch
- Premier’s Representatives
- Mr Ian Innes, The Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust
The Department of Premier and Cabinet, the NSW Government Architect’s Office, and NK Business Link provide support and facilitation to the Project Control Group.
