Agency List Inquiry

Help

This help information supports both the Export Agency List function and the inquiry screen which provides information about the selected agency. The definitions below are marked with (Export) when the information relates to the export facility and (Inquiry) when it relates to the agency inquiry screen.

Please note that the Agency List does not contain full information for all agencies.

The list will be updated on a continual basis. If you have information about a government employer which is not in the list or where there is incomplete information, your feedback would be appreciated. Please email as much information about the agency as possible to hrexpert@premiers.nsw.gov.au

Current NSW Agency (Inquiry) (Export)

(Inquiry) Yes/No (Export) True/False – whether or not the agency is a NSW agency, currently operating under that name.

You will need to take care when interpreting this field. When an agency is identified as not current, a similar agency may currently exist. Check the information under Predecessors and Successors to obtain a clear picture.

NOTE: All Commonwealth agencies and those from other states will be classed as “No” (Inquiry) or “False” (Export). This does not mean that they are not current. It means that they are not a current NSW agency.

Known as (Inquiry) (Export)

The Agency List inquiry contains different variations of agency names (including acronyms). However, the export file has only one record for each agency, based on its official name. The “Known as” column in the export file contains information about all the name variations.
