NSW JumpSTART Cadetship Program
The NSW JumpSTART Cadetship Program is designed to help young people take up careers in the NSW public sector. NSW government agencies are offering approximately 500 entry level cadetships to HSC school leavers each year for four years.
The NSW Government is the largest employer in the state, with workplaces all over the state, and an amazing range of jobs and careers.

What's a cadetship?
A cadetship is a way for you to get paid for the work you do while you develop new skills and learn about the work of the organisation. Some positions will offer the flexibility of part-time employment to allow you to carry out external studies whilst you’re employed.
Who can apply for a cadetship?
You are eligible to apply for a cadetship if you:
- Have your HSC or a relevant Certificate IV qualification or above. (Please note: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are exempt from this criterion).
- Are under 25 years at the time of application
- Are a permanent resident or citizen of Australia.
