The first 15 months
The implementation of a whole-of-government, technology-based recruitment service was recommended by a special review in December 2006, approved by Cabinet's budget committee in 2007, and supported by a decision of the Industrial Relations Commission in 2008.
July 2008 saw the establishment of the e-Recruitment project office and following this was the identification of business requirements, public call for tenders, initiation of the pilot project and comprehensive planning for the sector-wide deployment.
2009 has seen the announcement of the successful vendor, “go live” of Phase 1 involving all NSW Government agencies, “go live” of Phase 2 Pilot programme, the launch of the new jobs.nsw website and the deployment strategy endorsed by all agencies.
e-Recruitment is planned to be in use in all government agencies by December 2010.
