What We Do
The Department of Premier and Cabinet is the agency providing leadership for the delivery of the Government's commitments and for the NSW public sector.
The Department provides:
- support to the Premier and Cabinet, Ministers and agencies to integrate and coordinate policy across the sector and ensure efficient machinery of government
- coordination of the NSW State Plan as well as our role as a lead agency and partner agency
- improvement in workforce capability including developing workforce planning strategies, increasing human resource capacity and supporting agencies on employee relations aspects of recruitment and organisation change
- leadership to deliver state infrastructure improvements and to maintain business investment in the state
- review and reform of public sector performance including customer service
- coordination and planning of significant state events to ensure quality, safety and benefit for the community.
